New building at the front of HALCOR premises
This is a study for a 130m. long building to be added at the front of a large, 50-year-old complex of industrial buildings that belong to the HALCOR S.A. premises, situated within the Industrial zone of Oinofyta and facing a National Highway, 65km away from Athens.
The new building will offer additional interior space needed to support the exits of the production lines at the front of the premises, while at the same time upgrading its facade.
We presented our client with two different versions: one that blends smoothly with the simple looks and geometry of the neighboring metallic buildings of ELVAL S.A. – ELVAL aluminum industry and HALCOR copper industry forming together the ELVALHALCOR S.A. – and a second one, with a curved tubular shell to create an eye-catching front next to the busy highway.
Both versions are paired with the boxy form of the HALCOR front-office building (much smaller than the hereby addition), that sits next to the new building and forms a “reference point” from where their dynamic and emphasized linearity extends parallel to the highway.
This addition remains as potential part of the premises’ master plan.
